Blocks/Menus



Block/Menu is a block where you can insert any HTML codes. You will also be able to use the menu with predefined functions, for example, shopping cart, search filter, bestsellers, latest articles, and others.

Block/Menu can be used to create your own website style/design. For example, you can create a Site Header, place the necessary elements in it (Logo, Contacts, Site Navigation Links, Search Form, etc.) and write CSS styles for them in the design editor. Using blocks/menus, you can place scripts, including in meta tags, as well as enable/disable the display of this data on certain pages or devices. In most cases, you just need to use the Header and Footer/Bottom of the site, as well as, for example, the left or right Block/Menu to place the search filter. You can place site scripts in one Block/Menu, and place it, for example, in Service tags.

The menu block can be placed in 7 main parts of the site:
  • «Site Header (Header)» – site header block, It is displayed above the main content block, inside the element «#hotengine-header».
  • «Site Bottom (Footer)» - site footer block, It is displayed below the main content block, inside the element «#hotengine-footer».
  • «Right» - The block is displayed on the right, next to the main content block, and does not go beyond the content.

Blocks/Menus can be used to insert Meta data such as Title, Meta Description, Meta keywords and others. To do this, create a Block/Menu, specify the Position of the Block/Menu «Meta tags: Title, Meta description, Meta keywords ...» or click create function menu, and select «Meta Description».
Be sure to indicate the pages on which to display this block/menu, as in these places the standard Meta data will not be displayed.
To insert individual Meta data on pages with search results, you must turn off noindex in the site settings , in the «Search» tab.

In order to change the position of standard menus, you need to create a menu with the same name and specify a new location for it. For example, to display the "Cart" menu on the right, you need to create a menu named "cart_menu" and specify "location on the right".
If you delete the reserved menus, then for the system components to work, you must re-create the menu with the same name.
